It was produced by Cal Industries and seems to be complete, including a spinner, rules sheet, four game pieces which are tiny bottles, scorecards and the board itself. It just missed having a pontil scarred base, but it appears to come from a two piece or hinge mold. It has an applied tapered top. There is one small area that still retains some light inside contents that will definately clean up better, and a very hard to locate pinhead size fleabite on the side of the tapered top. Through our many years of buying, selling and collecting, we have seen these inverted jars in a range of colors, but they are very rarely offered on the open market. As a whole, they are normally found under 5 inches too. In our collection, we have a large (9 3/8 inches tall) clear inverted jar that we use for displaying marbles. According to the book "The Pill Rollers..." by Charles G. & Lillian C. Richardson, these were also used at exhibitions and trade fairs, plus were also given as premiums to selected customers. Paper labels were usually applied to the midsection and the lower neck area to describe each contents. This listing is for the jar on the RIGHT ONLY. The one on the left has been sold. This taller jar is a good bit lighter than the other, a gorgeous light yellow amber. These both have corks, but we have no idea if they are original. They appear to be original. It is in excellent condition with only a touch of cleanable dirt/dust and all is mentioned for accuracy... no damage. Both jars are a bit crude. The opposite heel has: CAP. 6 1/2 OZ. The base is smooth. Click Here for a picture of the back. A dug bottle in great/super condition for a dug bottle. Of course, this bottle was used, so there is some a small amount of wear. There are several tiny fleabites throuhout the bottle and some light scratching, to be accurate, but not distracting at all. There is a very small area on the lip that first appears as two small chips. Upon closer inspection, these are only thin open bubbles and part of the crudeness and making, not damage. By the way, I have only seen two others of this variant, and both had damage. This is listed a machine made bottle, but I've never seen a machined bottle this crude. It is crazy crude. It has bubbles, swirls, deep waves in the glass and so on. This Pepsi, as told by other diggers from this area, is the hardest of the local Pepsis to dig or locate. It is also listed as a Rarity: 4 (out of 5 = rarest), so grab it while you can to give your Pepsi collection a huge boost. It dates from 1918-1922 and stands 7 7/8" tall..... SOLD

This can is unusual because it has a flesh colored shadow on all the front images only. The golden stalks of wheat, barley or grain shows it best. We normally do not sell beer cans so please use the photo to judge it's condition. This was an attic find of ours and one of the last we have to offer of the cans we kept from an amazing discovery many years ago. It is rust and damage free, with hardly a scratch to mention. A cosmetic bottle that will look good in any perfume, cologne or bathroom display. It stands 6 1/4 in. tall without the stopper and 7 7/16 in. with it..... SOLD

From the top down, this has some intricate features. The outside of the lip is faceted as well as the neck, which has hexagons interlocking and finishes in longer flutes. The number 48 is etched in the center of the base and was probably done when this bottle was finished. Condition wise, it has some very light inside stain, light base wear, and a mention of light paint loss to the gold lettering. The ground stopper fits well, but probably isn't original. It works well, plus looks good, and it's in excellent condition. A utility piece that was probably used in a saloon, tavern or prominent home, standing 9 1/4" tall without the stopper and 12 1/4" with it..... SOLD

It has a light scratch or two, light typical interior contents stain and a tiny fleabite... all mentioned for accuracy. One neat crude feature is, on the back shoulder, it has two long raised and curved extra strings of glass on the inside. Click Here for a picture of the back shoulder. The edges and neck are decorated with oval beads. This beauty has a rolled lip. 180. Early heart shaped scent - smelling bottle --- We are proud to offer this early colorless scent or smelling bottle in the shape of a heart. McKearin's American Bottles & Flasks and Their Ancestry shows this in Plate 104 as No. 8. Circa 1850-60, it is smooth based and embossed with graduated fan ribs below simple scrolls; opposite has scroll ornament above plain area. Looking this over carefully, it is in excellent condition. Amazingly, this still retains gold paint on both sides and a small cork inside. We are not sure if the paint is original to this piece, but this is how it appeared when we added it to our collection many years ago. It has a crude and slightly bent neck and is 2 1/4" high by 1 1/2" at greatest width..... SOLD

The base has what looks like the number 117 enameled in the center... probably an ID number from the maker. The condition... it has some very light cleanable inside stain, light base wear, some mild paint loss to the letters and a few very tiny pinpoint size nicks. There is a pinhead size open bubble (it seems) hidden on the back and a tiny flake off the inside lip. This sounds worse than it actually is, but we like to be accurate with our descriptions. The ground stopper or top fits well, but probably isn't original. It looks great, but the hidden bottom of it is chipped. Ben Franklin Rye was a brand name used by Delaney & Murphy (1888-1918) of Chicago, IL (Illinois). This brand was registered in 1906. To be extremely picky... it only has a few very tiny and hidden fleabites and a larger one on the back shoulder measuring only 3/16". This is not in any way damage at all, but very light and typical wear. It also has the expected interior light contents stain and a few tiny flakes of cleanable dirt.
