A GROUP OF HUTCHES - SODA BOTTLES

  1. BOTTLE HOLDER - GORHAM CO. Silver - Railroad - Click Here to See The Base --- An early bottle holder or stand used to showcase a beverage or simply make it stand. I'm not sure if this is true, but some folks say these were used in train cars and they work well for bottles with rounded bases, torpedos, hamiltons and so on. This thing is also a bit heavier than it looks too. The bottom is marked with a symbol with an anchor inside a crest or shield over GORHAM CO. over 0155 over a 4 or an image that I can't make out clearly. We really don't sell a lot of silver or know that much about it. It appears that it needs a shine and there is a small amount of green on the base rim edge. One side has a small area that isn't completely round, but we can't find any damage. These are typically used by antique bottle collectors to frame some of their best early sodas, tenpins, blob top beers, etc. Others collect them just because it is railroad silver tableware. It stands 5 5/16" tall to the top of the three uprights and the base is 4 1/4" wide.....$165.00.
  2. BURTON & CO. / RUGBY LTD. / TABLE WATER / MANUFACTURERS / WINDMILL LANE / RUGBY - CLICK HERE for a close-up of etching --- This listing, we proudly offer an acid (maybe ?) etched seltzer bottle with a red and ivory (off white color) top. We are not really sure what material was used for the top, but it looks like a neat early plastic or bakelite. It's a thick heavy duty table water bottle, probably from England (UK) in super condition with very light typical wear ...only a few tiny fleabites on some of the outer 12 ribs, hardly worth mentioning. The base has a D and an IX embossed. It seems to have a glass stem inside and we haven't removed the top and actually don't know how. A really neat collectible bottle, especially if you belong to a Burton Rugby team, standing 12 3/4" tall to the top.....$45.00 +S&H.
  3. Straight sided COCA-COLA / KEY WEST / BOTTLING CO. - CLICK HERE for a close-up --- This listing, we proudly offer an early light SCA straight sided Coca-Cola. Embossed in a center slugplate is: KEY WEST in an arc over COCA-COLA (in script) over BOTTLING CO. The base has a double stamp of the word DIXIE embossed lightly. This is a dug bottle, with typical light interior stain and a couple of super tiny fleabites/case wear from use/service. This bottle is in great condition, but it appears to have been professionally cleaned at one time and still retains a light cloudiness inside. It displays exceptionally well and is a must for any Coke collection. Early (approx. 1905) center slug script Coca-Colas are getting very hard to find these days and this Florida Coke is primitive. Get it while you can. It stands 7 7/8" tall.....$455.00 +S&H.
  4. Straight sided COCA-COLA / RICHMOND, VA. Amber Fluted Heel - CLICK HERE for the other side --- We proudly offer this early amber straight sided Coca-Cola with the 7/8" fluted heel... embossed vertical lines. Embossed in script on the shoulder is COCA-COLA over BOT. WKS. over RICHMOND, VA. The opposite shoulder has: TRADE MARK over REGISTERED. The base has the word ROOT. This is a dug bottle, with typical interior stain. It is far from perfect and I must mention, as a local bottle to us, these are very rare to find in good/great condition... if you can find one. They must have seen a lot of use and were used repeatedly until discarded. It is very crudely made, but also has case wear too. Meaning, it has small fleabites (tiny dings) around the fluted area, wear on the base, lip and other protruding (highpoint) areas. There is a 1/2" by 1/4" flake from the backside lip. On the right side fluted heel, is a 3/8" flake which has a 3/8" by 1" hook shaped stable crack in the thick part of the heel. This has been unchanged since the day we dug this, many years ago. Sure, this sounds horrible, be we are trying to be completely accurate. It displays very well and is a must for any Coke collector. Again, these are very rarely offered and although the condition sounds bad, and it sounds a bit unbelievable, you'll have a hard time finding one in better condition. It stands 8" tall.....$90.00 +S&H.
  5. JOHN DEVER / PHILADELPHIA --- Not John Denver, but close... This listing is for a light aquamarine Hutchinson embossed the same as the listing title, in a round or oval shaped slug. The opposite side has NOT TO BE SOLD in block letters embossed. The base is embossed with the number 24. It's a dug hutch with the usual tiny fleabites, stain, scuffs and wear. A nice old Pennsylvania bottle standing 7" tall.....$15.00 +S&H
  6. M. A. HALLORAN / (monogram) / STAMFORD, CONN. --- A light aquamarine hutch with closure is embossed in a circle or oval shaped slug, the same as the listing title with REGISTERED at heel. The other side is embossed: THIS BOTTLE / NOT TO / BE SOLD over REGISTERED in smaller letters. The base has: 1533 slanted. Just a few very tiny light scratches on this, what appears to be a dug bottle. Just a hint of light cleanable dirt inside this one. (mentioned for accuracy) It is in excellent condition. It would be hard to find a nicer example of this CT. Hutchinson bottle. It stands 6 7/8" tall.....$65.00 +S&H.
  7. CHAS. B. LASH (CBL monogram) PORTSMOUTH, VA. --- A clear straight sided crowntop, embossed the same as the listing title, in a round or oval shaped slug. The back heel is embossed: REGISTERED and the base A.G.W. (American Glass Works) ... faintly. This appears to be a dug bottle. It has a couple of small fleabites and some typical cloudiness, but that's it. The base of this bottle is nearly 3/4" thick (solid glass), standing 8 7/8" tall.....$40.00 +S&H.
  8. LIMO - COLA / UNION BOTTLING WKS. / RICHMOND, VA. - View of the other side - CLICK HERE --- A light citron crowntop soda, embossed: LIMO-COLA in script and slanted over REGISTERED above a branch with six leaves and three nuts/fruit. Below this is PROPERTY OF THE / UNION BOTTLING WKS. / RICHMOND, VA. The opposite side is embossed: LIMO - COLA (same as other side) on shoulder with MINIMUM CONTENTS / 6 1/2 FL. OZS. / A.G.W. (American Glass Works). The base is embossed: LIMO - COLA again in script and all similiar to the COCA-COLA logo. This is a dug bottle and it has typical inside light contents stain, and a tiny amount of case wear, but you'll have to search hard to locate this. It is in super condition. This is a very hard to find early crowntop Virginia soda in an unusual color too, standing 7 7/8" tall.....$88.00 +S&H.
  9. MAY POP --- An aqua drink bottle with an embossed shoulder in a dot - long upside down triangle - dot pattern. One side has: MAY POP then at heel is US PATENT OFFICE over (looks like) D.O.C. 521-7. Opposite side has TRADEMARK over a primitive leafless tree then REGISTERED. The base has: another neat looking tree embossed. A dug bottle with some/typical caseware. There are only two tiny well hidden and hard to see fleabites (1/8" x 1/8") and a sliver of glass (1/16" x 1/8") missing, all from the large part of the crowntop. Very hard to detect and mentioned for accuracy. There is also an area (1" long) above and between MAY POP, that at first looks like a crack, but with a close inspection, we see this: The top half is raised or embossed like and the lower half is a void. Kind of looks like a fold in the making of this and a long open bubble. Not something that you would call damage. It's machine made and stands 8 5/8" tall.....$18.00 +S&H.
  10. PEPSI:COLA / NORFOLK, VA. --- Offered is a straight sided NO7 (Ayer's book) Pepsi (double dash or dot) bottle. On both shoulders is embossed: PEPSI:COLA in large and small block letters. The rear heel has REGISTERED embossed. The other heel has NORFOLK in a rectangular slug. The base is embossed: CAP. 7 OZ. This is a dug bottle in great condition. It has light normal wear, with a light scratch or two, typical light interior contents stain and a couple of tiny fleabites, including a larger one in the thick part of the glass near the NO in Norfolk on the heel. This hard-to-find Virginia Pepsi has the ice blue coloring and stands 8 1/4" tall.....$55.00 +S&H.
  11. PEPSI:COLA in script Frosted Neck --- Offered is a 1938 straight sided NC16 (Ayer's book) Pepsi (double dash or dot) bottle. At mid body on both sides is embossed: PEPSI:COLA in script. Above this around the neck is a texture or the 'frosted neck effect'. This is a dug bottle in super condition. It has light normal wear, and typical interior contents stain. This clear hard-to-find 'No City' Pepsi stands 9 5/8" tall.....$58.00 +S&H.>
  12. ROCKWELL SPRINGS --- We got this big bottle from North Carolina, but the only thing I could find related to Rockwell Springs was a spot on a map in the woods, south of Syracuse, NY in the Onondaga Nation (“People of the Hills”), Indian reservation. Another result stated: Rockwell Springs is a reservoir in Onondaga County in the state of New York. I haven't confirmed this origin. I'm just stating that this is the only lead(s) that I have so far. Anyone seen one like this before? In script, in a large crude tombstone shaped slug, is embossed: ROCKWELL over REGISTERED in block letters in ribbon or tail, over SPRINGS in script again. Below this in block letters at heel is: THIS BOTTLE LOANED / NOT SOLD / ONE GAL. The base is marked with: 103. A great crude blown earlier spring water bottle, with no damage, only some light interior stain ...not an issue. It'll clean up nicer. The color is an aquamarine and stands 14" tall and 5 5/8" wide.....$80.00 +S&H.
  13. SCHUYLKILL / BOTTLING CO. / ST. CLAIR, PA. --- This listing is for a crowntop drink bottle from Pennsylvania, embossed the same as the listing title in a slug area. Above this is REGISTERED in an arc and below it 7 FLUID OUNCES. On the back is: THIS BOTTLE / NOT TO BE SOLD. The base is unembossed. The crowntop has a small 'G' embossed and the other side has tiny numbers. It's a pretty clean bottle, but does have some light normal wear from use including a tiny flake on the 'B' on the back and some pinhead size fleabites (just being picky). A nice PA bottle, that is 7 1/2" tall.....$15.00 +S&H.
